Terms of Service

Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of a company or employer, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

The service

Own the Script lets you record video with a teleprompter, processes it through our editing pipeline (transcription, filler and silence removal, pacing and delivery smoothing, animated captions, background music, and AI b-roll), applies your brand kit and — where you use our compliance features — required disclosures, and lets you export and publish the result to social platforms you connect. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Subscriptions, trials & billing

• Paid subscription. Access to the Service requires a paid subscription, which may begin with a free trial.
• Billing through the app stores. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are charged to your store account. Prices, plans, and any trial length are shown at purchase.
• Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
• Managing & cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting the app alone does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Your content & license

You keep all ownership of the video, audio, scripts, captions, brand assets, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). To operate the Service, you grant Nifli a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for example, to transcribe, edit, caption, and render), transmit, and — at your direction — publish Your Content, solely to provide and improve the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for residual backup copies handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for Your Content and represent that you have all rights needed to use it and to grant this license, including rights to any people, logos, music, footage, or trademarks it contains.

Connecting social accounts

When you connect a social platform (such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or LinkedIn), you authorize Nifli to publish and manage content on that account on your behalf, as you direct. You remain subject to each platform's own terms and policies, and you are responsible for ensuring your posts comply with them. You can disconnect any platform at any time. We are not responsible for platform outages, rejections, rate limits, or account actions taken by the platforms.

Compliance features — important

If you use the Service for mortgage or other regulated advertising, you and your employer's compliance team remain solely responsible for the content you publish and for compliance with all applicable laws and rules, including the SAFE Act and NMLS requirements, TILA/Regulation Z, the MAP Rule/Regulation N, RESPA, ECOA, the Fair Housing Act, UDAAP, and any state-specific advertising rules. You should have qualified compliance or legal counsel review your content and disclosures. Nifli is not a law firm and does not provide legal or compliance advice, and you agree we are not liable for regulatory outcomes arising from content you publish.

AI-generated output

The Service uses automated and AI systems to generate scripts, edits, captions, b-roll, and compliance suggestions. This output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any output before you rely on or publish it. We do not warrant that AI output is accurate, original, or non-infringing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: break the law or any platform's rules; publish false, deceptive, infringing, harassing, or harmful content; impersonate others; upload malware or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; scrape or resell the Service; or use it in a way that infringes anyone's rights. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.

Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, style packs, and branding, is owned by Nifli and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service itself. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them.

Third-party content & services

The Service may include background music, stock or AI-generated b-roll, and integrations provided by third parties. Your use of these elements is subject to the applicable third-party licenses and usage limits, which may restrict commercial use or require attribution. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may change.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any output (including compliance flags or AI results) will be accurate or meet your requirements. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nifli and its members and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or regulatory penalties, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $100.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Nifli and its members and providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or platform policy, or content you publish (including regulatory or advertising-compliance claims).

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Data & Account Deletion page). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses you granted, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities — will survive.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the "Updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
