Data & Account Deletion

You can delete your Own the Script account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it — from inside the app, or by emailing us. Both remove the same data.
Fastest
Delete in the app
- Open Own the Script and go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account and associated data are queued for deletion.
No app access needed
Request deletion by email
Email us from the address on your account with the subject line "Delete my account." We may ask you to verify your identity before we process the request.

When your deletion request is processed, we delete or de-identify:
- Your account and profile (name, email, login).
- Your compliance profile — NMLS ID, company details, licensed states, disclosure text, and Consumer Access link.
- Your recordings, transcripts, scripts, captions, brand kit, and finished videos.
- Your connected social-account tokens — these are revoked and removed, so the app can no longer act on those accounts.
- Your publishing history and compliance activity stored in the app.
Posts already published stay on the social platforms. Deleting your Own the Script account does not remove videos you already posted to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or LinkedIn. To remove those, delete them on each platform directly.

We email a confirmation to your account address once deletion is complete.
What we may keep (and why)
We retain a limited amount of information only where the law requires or allows it — for example, transaction and tax records for completed purchases, records needed to resolve disputes or prevent fraud and abuse, and any compliance override logs we are required to retain. Anything we keep is minimized and stored securely, and is deleted when no longer needed.
Just want to remove part of your data?
Disconnect one platform
In the app, open Connected Accounts and tap Disconnect on any platform. This revokes our access to that account without deleting your Own the Script account.
Delete individual videos
Open your Library, select a video, and tap Delete to remove that recording, its transcript, and the finished clip.
