Who we are

Own the Script helps mortgage loan officers create short, compliance-aware videos from AI-assisted scripts and (optionally) publish them to connected social platforms.

Information we collect

Account & profile: name, email, and professional details you provide such as NMLS ID, company, licensed states, title, and branding (colors, logo).
Content you create: script topics and text, recorded audio/video, and the finished rendered videos.
Preferences: caption style, music, tone, b-roll themes, local ZIP, and your default set of publishing platforms.
Connected platform data: when you link a social account, we store the access and refresh tokens needed to post on your behalf, plus the connected account’s identifier/username. Tokens are stored server-side and are not exposed to the app client.
Usage & device data: basic logs and diagnostics needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not intentionally collect government IDs, financial account numbers, or borrower personal data through the App. Do not enter consumer/borrower personal information into scripts.

How we use information

To provide and improve the App: generate and check scripts, render videos, remember your preferences and branding, surface the daily ideas feed, and — only when you connect an account and choose to publish — post your video to that platform. We also use it to secure the service and meet legal obligations.

Third-party services (sub-processors)

We share the minimum necessary data with providers that power features:

Supabase — authentication, database, and storage of your account, content, and tokens.
OpenAI — generates and rewrites script text from the topics/details you provide. We do not send your contact details for this purpose.
Shotstack — renders your finished videos.
FRED (St. Louis Fed) and NewsData.io — provide rate and news inputs for the ideas feed. We send queries (including your local ZIP’s city/state), not your identity.
Social platforms you connect — TikTok, Instagram/Facebook (Meta), LinkedIn, YouTube — receive the video and post metadata you choose to publish, per their own terms and privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information.

Storage, retention, and security

Your data is stored with our providers above and retained while your account is active. Platform tokens are stored server-side under restricted access. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data; no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices and rights

You can edit your profile and preferences, disconnect any platform at any time (which removes our stored tokens for that platform), and request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting [[PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]]. Depending on where you live (e.g. [[GDPR/CCPA as applicable]]), you may have additional rights.

Children

The App is for professional use and not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes
